Outdoor enthusiasts looking to enjoy the last parts of August will be pleased with what they will see in the forecast.

Well above normal temperatures are expected to settle in for the Humboldt area, with some days reaching into the 30's.

Environment Canada's Terri Lang says that most of the province will see an overall boost.

"We have one last blast of warm temperatures coming towards the province. Sometimes our long range forecasts are a little bit optimistic, but we are seeing a ridge of high pressure so it looks like we will be seeing that warm weather."

The end of August typically sees temperatures in the high teens to low 20's for the region.

Monday's forecasted high is 31, with the low point of the week expected to drop to only 27.

Lang says that an upward trend of warmer conditions in September is likely to continue.

"We are forecasting temperatures above normal for most of Canada," she noted. "Certainly we have seen temperatures above normal for September for the last few years, so it isn't anything out of the normal."

In 2016, half of the month was at or above normal in Humboldt, with ten days in the 20's.
