What started at St. Peter's College in Muenster 25 years ago has once again returned to the Humboldt area.

On Friday, the 25th Annual Saskatchewan Volunteer Firefighters Association Fire School began at the Uniplex.

This year was the seventh time that Humboldt has hosted the school.

A weekend long event, over 200 firefighters from across the province came to Humboldt to learn different techniques and classes for the various encounters a firefighter will face.

With numerous sponsors on board to help alleviate costs, the event turns into a fundraiser for the Humboldt Fire Department as well.
