A bail hearing will take place next week for the man accused of robbing Humboldt's 7-11 store.

26 year-old Derek Murray was apprehended early in the morning last Thursday.

He is facing charges of theft while armed with a weapon, commit an offence while disguised, unlawful confinement, uttering threats, possession of stolen property, taking a motor vehicle without consent, driving while disqualified and impaired driving.

The RCMP say Murray entered the store with a bandanna over his face while brandishing a knife, the lone employee at the store was told to remain in the washroom while the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and other merchandise.

Witnesses saw the man drive away and within minutes the Humboldt RCMP pulled the vehicle over and apprehended the driver. He was subsequently charged.

His hearing will take place on Tuesday in Saskatoon.
