Farmers and producers are invited to take part in the Bayer Crop Science Cutting Edge Expo at Jubilee Hall on Monday.

The event will include several speakers promoting products to help make growing canola easier and more profitable.

Brent Puetz is a Territory Sales manager with Bayer Crop Science.

He talks about who all should come.

"Absolutely any farmer who's interested in straight-cutting canola or just wanting to know more about it. Not necessarily that they're going to be doing it this year or next year, but if they have plans or interested for down the road, they are definitely more than welcome to come down and have a listen."

Puetz gives us a few more details about their event at Jubilee Hall on Monday.

"It's called our Cutting Edge Expo. What it is, it's a seminar that's really focused on harvest management and straight-cutting canola. For some growers, (straight-cutting canola) has been out for a few year, we're really getting behind this now. We've got some newer varieties on the market."

Puetz says the crops in this area make the expo worth attending.

"Straight-cutting is just starting to come along into this area. There is some more a little farther east from here. This is a very good area, there is a lot of good canola grown in this neck of the woods."

The expo is set to run from 9 until 2:30 on Monday
