Exciting news out of the BHP Jansen Potash Project.
On Saturday, October 6th, Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe tweeted out that they have hit bottom on both their service and production shafts.
The service shaft has a depth of 1005 meters.
The production shaft isn't quite as deep. It is listed as 975 meters.
BHP has committed 3.8 billion for the mine so far.
The Jansen project will create a multitude of different jobs and will benefit the province as a whole in the future.
