The deadline for a lottery that supports many organizations in LeRoy is approaching.

Friday at 8:00pm is your last opportunity to purchase tickets for the 13th LeRoy Leisure Lotto.

"We thought, maybe we could come together and get people from all those little groups, form a bigger group, and put money back into organizations," explained Chair Leona Wakelam on the lottery's history.

The LeRoy School, museum, skating and curling clubs and senior's centre are among the many beneficiaries of the lotto over the years.

Wakelam says that they have had support from not only in the immediate area, but across the province as well.

"We get a lot of calls from Saskatoon, Regina and other big centres," she noted. "They know it is important for activities for the kids and our seniors to really support small town Saskatchewan."

With over $200,000 in items to be won, you could find yourself on the receiving end of a leisure package worth $150,000 if you are the main winner.

There are secondary prizes valued at $12,000 and $8,000, in addition to many smaller items.

Tickets are $100 each or three for $250 and can be purchased by calling 1-866-YA-LEROY (925-3769).
