Jamie Brockman maybe didn't anticipate being back in the President's chair for The Humboldt Broncos this upcoming season, but a familiar face seemed to be the direction the board wanted to go.

Brockman, who was the President of the Broncos for the 2016/17 season was re-elected following Kevin Garinger's decision not to put his name up for re-election for the 2018/19 season.

Brockman was in attendance for Humboldt Hockey Day on August 24th, 2018 and said, "We have a very good board and that's what made it easier, we have twelve people that want to roll up their sleeves and get to work."

Hockey Day in Humboldt was a day of celebration for the strength and bond of the community of Humboldt. "I think a lot of people are looking forward to getting on the ice. It means getting the hockey team started, hockey is starting, hockey is important, and once we get those players skating on the ice today, that's another step in moving forward."

The Broncos training camp wrapped up on August 26th, 2018 and their first match up is an exhibition game in Peace River, AB vs The Whitecourt Wolverines of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
