NASCAR driver, DJ Kennington, was in Humboldt on Monday with the hood from his car that he used in the Monster Energy Series Race, he came in 27th place.

The hood was special as it had the Bronco team logo on it after the April, 6th tragedy.

Kennington talks about the reason behind the placing of the logo.

"Being a hockey player myself, and being Canadian, everybody was trying to do what they could to help, it was a horrible tragedy. I was fortunate enough to have the platform of the Monster Energy Series to put the team logo and so on, on the hood and race the Bristol Motor Speedway Race. It was a tribute we felt we could do and raise some money. After the race, we decided to take the hood off the car and auction it off to see how much money we could raise."

The auction raised $15000.00 that was presented to Broncos hockey team.

The Bronco logo will be on the car racing in Saskatoon on Wednesday.
