Saturday was for the ladies in Bruno.

The Bruno Ladies Night Out Committee held the Brides Maids Ladies Night on Saturday, November 24th at the Bruno Community Hall that was chock-full of entertainment, dancing, and prizes.

"This was our third annual event. Our theme this year was Bridesmaids, so everybody came dressed up in their old bridesmaids' dresses. There were lots of people dressed up, it looked great. Kelly Talyor, a standup comedian, was our entertainment and that was fabulous. Everybody had a great time," said Carla Jule, a member of the Bruno Ladies Night Out Committee and one of the organizers of the event.

205 tickets were sold for the event with the proceeds going towards the Leader in Me Program at Bruno School.

"It's focused on the seven habits of highly effective people. Basically, it's training our kids in our school to be good leaders and using those strategies to function in society and life, while making our school a better place to be," Jule said while talking about the Leader in Me Program.

The event, along with the entertainment, supper, cocktails, and dancing, was topped off with a silent auction, live auction and 50/50 draw to raise even more funds for Bruno School. "We, of course, want to thank all donation sponsors. So all the businesses or people who donated prizes for that, it was greatly appreciated.

Along with Jule, the event was helped put on by other committee members including Lianne Borstmayer, Amanda and Lisa Weiman, Amber Hoppe, and Marie Moore.
