Scholarships for Saskatchewan Polytechnic can be used for the auto body technician program.

CAA Saskatchewan is giving three students in the province a break on their post-secondary education fees.

Those looking to attend Saskatchewan's three major institutes (University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina, Saskatchewan Polytechnic) are eligible to apply for the scholarships

Director of Communications with CAA Sask, Christine Niemczyk says there are many factors that are considered for the recipients.

"They are looking at a number of things, and that includes academic excellence, economic needs and other factors," she stated. "Possibly participation by the students in extracurricular activities or community involvement."

Niemczyk added that application forms are available through the three schools.

The scholarships were first handed out in 2006.
