More upgrades are coming at Greenwater Provincial Park.

The Government of Saskatchewan has announced nearly $200,000 towards upgrading electrical service in 50 campsites in the Hilltop part of the campground.

"With nearly four million visits in 2016, our provincial parks are hubs of activity and a sought-after destination for tourists and residents alike," stated Parks Minister Ken Cheveldayoff. "Projects like this help to ensure that we are continuing to meet the needs of our users and provide them with the best possible experience."

Cheveldayoff officially announced the project at the park on Saturday, celebrating the news with the public and park staff.

Work is scheduled to begin in the fall and be complete by the 2018 summer season.

The province added that although we are into August now, camping continues into September at most provincial parks, including Greenwater.
