The Canada Games Torch lit up the community of Humboldt during the national torch relay that moves through Canada.

The torch of the Canada games made an appearance at the Jubilee Hall on Wednesday, November 7th starting at 12 PM. 

Canada Games brought the torch through Humboldt during their torch relay across Canada which started in Ottawa, Ontario on October 4th. The tour will then end in Red Deer, Alberta on February 15th, 2019 for the Canada Games for the 2019 year. With the torch coming through Humboldt, celebrations and speeches were conducted by Humboldt Mayor, Rob Muench, Humboldt Broncos Head Coach, Nathan Oystrick, Leroy Haugen, and many more including the CEO and President of the Canada Games, Dave Patterson.

"We work with a lot of different communities across the country and given the role that sport plays in Humboldt and especially in the last year that sport has been such an important part of bringing this community together and we wanted to celebrate that here."

The torch will stop in 48 communities across the country as the games start in about 100 days time.
