On March 19th, Carlton Trail College announced a new series of scholarships totalling $25,000 in total value. These new entrance scholarships are to be disbursed as fifty individual scholarships of $500 each to students who enroll in a full-time post-secondary program of 12 weeks or longer in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Marketing Facilitator Val Koroluk explains that the scholarships will be made available to the first fifty students who apply and are accepted into a qualifying program. Koroluk clarifies, "We are determining the scholarships by application date, but students must be conditionally accepted by June 30th. So that means that students have to get their marks into us so that we can accept them. Then the award recipients must attend their classes on a full-time basis.

Carlton Trail College offers a variety of trade and professional programs including Office Administration, Continuing Care, Electrician, Power Engineering, and Welding, among others.

Additionally, the College continues to offer its early application scholarships. If students apply before the deadline, all applicants become eligible for a one time draw for a $1,000 scholarship in addition to any others they might earn.

In their press release, Carlton Trail College acknowledges the participation of businesses, organizations, and individuals along with matching funds from the Saskatchewan Innovation and Opportunity Scholarship Program.
