Humboldt joined many other centres across Saskatchewan and Canada in celebrating culture.

Culture Days took place on Friday and Saturday with the Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery offering many different events to take part in.

Supervisor Jean Price says that they try to do a collaborative art piece each year with past projects including a quilt, and graffiti on the wall.

This year they offered banner making, where people painted a panel that makes up a banner to be on display in the gallery.

"It is on the theme of 'From Many People's Strength', which is the theme of Saskatchewan," noted Price.

Friday's festivities also included interactive creative writing as well as a reading from poet Dave Margoshes.

"It's a nationwide event, so it happens all over Canada each year, and we would really like to thank SaskCulture, who provides the bulk of the sponsorship."

Two concerts were held Saturday afternoon, featuring Trevor Ross and Ernie Kurz.

A celebration of Humboldt's diversity and strength was held at the gallery to wrap it all up on Saturday night.
