People in Muenster will no longer have to walk around trying to find service in their area.

On October 25th the new cell tower in Muenster was turned on.

Sasktel's initiative to expand cell coverage in rural Saskatchewan includes small cell sites in 100 communities and towns. For all 100 communities to receive a tower it comes to a total cost of over $4 million.

"So it should cover the area around Muenster where hopefully people can get full bars on their phone instead of having to be in a certain location," said Donna Harpauer, Finance Minister of Saskatchewan.

Muenster received the first tower of the initiative and people in Muenster and surrounding area will have much better cellular service.
