The season of giving has arrived, and the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation is hoping their campaign helps check off some items from their equipment list.

Christmas Angels have returned and will appear in your mailbox, allowing you to make a contribution to the HDHF, says Executive Director Lorrie Bunko.

"We always look forward to this month because it also helps us purchase several items on the equipment list. There is still plenty on the list that we are needing to purchase for our departments."

Bunko says that they are grateful for three large donations that have come in recently - all of which are being used for specific, higher price tag items.

"We've had a remarkable fourth quarter. Totally unexpected on our part, and it just says so much about the people and organizations of the Humboldt district."

The annual Christmas campaign is important according to Bunko because it allows them to continue to put funds aside for smaller, but still important items on their equipment list.

"We still have a ceiling track lift that needs to be purchased for $10,000. Our pacemaker transition device and software is being reviewed and upgraded, so that's another $10,000," she explained.

"We have all these types of equipment that are still needed, which is very important, and we need dollars to be able to purchase those sorts of things."
