During the warmest weekend the area has seen all summer long, the hottest classic cars were proudly featured at Discovery Ford.

"People have a passion (for) their vehicles. They've put a lot of work, blood, sweat, and tears into those vehicles, and they love people walking up and saying "beautiful rig!'. It means a lot to them," says Wally Brecht, a Discovery Ford employee for 25 years.

Vehicles that fall under the "vintage/special interest/classic/antique" category were welcome to be on display during the show, with the only caveat being it must be a Ford product,

Arts Humboldt has been a part of the show for the past couple of years, and Brecht supports the non-profit group.

"We definitely need an arts facility in Humboldt, so (we're offering) just a little bit to help out in that respect," he says.

"Arts Humboldt has always been very cooperative. They love to do it. It's nice to find people that want to come in and work it. We supply them with everything they need, and they take home whatever fundraising amount they get from it," says Brecht.

The 7th annual show of its kind offered a BBQ, free popcorn, sundae bar and live local entertainment in addition to the array of restored vehicles on Saturday.

Brecht says the event has grown steadily over the years and says over 30 entrants are expected this year. Registrants from Regina, Saskatoon, Watson, Biggar, all travelled to Humboldt to share their beauties alongside their local counterparts.
