Over 50 non-profit organizations in 22 local communities are receiving funds from the province thanks to the Charitable Gaming Grant.

The grant is equivalent to 25% of net revenues raised from gaming activities including bingo, raffles, breakopens, poker and Monte Carlo events.

"Charitable gaming grants provide dollars to local volunteers groups that are important to Saskatchewan communities," stated SLGA Minister Jeremy Harrison. "Our communities are stronger because of these groups and organizations and our government is pleased to provide financial support."

A total of $27,538.87 is being handed out to 11 groups in Humboldt, with just under $2-million divided up across the province.

The Humboldt Broncos are the largest beneficiary in Humboldt, with just over $17,000 going back to the Junior 'A' hockey club.
