Although the City of Humboldt won't finalize their budget until March some projects were given early approval Monday at their meeting.

Manager Roy Hardy presented them with recommendations including phase three of the Centennial Park upgrades. Paving and curbing at the main entrance of the Uniplex falls into that as does re-seeding grass in different areas, that comes with a $335,000‎ price tag.

Another $750,000 is being earmarked for continued work on the lagoon system.

Two new softball diamonds north of the hospital will replace the one lost at Centennial Park, adding a spreader to their sidewalk sweeper to combat ice, conducting design reviews for projects on Peck Road, 12th Avenue, 14th Street and King Crescent plus pool rehabilitation was also approved.

The estimated costs of these expenditures are estimated at $232,000.

Overall the early approval projects are just over $1.3 million.

For more details they will have a public meeting Tuesday at 6 o’clock at the Uniplex in meeting room 3.
