Day one of the Bronco bus crash sentencing hearing has wrapped up.

Many families were present as well as friends and other loved ones to share their victim impact statements before the court today.

This is only day one of the hearing and it is expected to last a few more up to as many as five days.

Thomas Healy the Crown Prosecutor on the trial shared some closing remarks.

"This has been a very difficult and emotional day for everyone involved, especially for the survivors', the families, and their friends. The victim impact statements that were read in the court today and placed before the court, they were truly powerful, heartbreaking, and difficult to describe. I would like the thank the families who were willing to let their voices be heard today and to express themselves in this process, we know it was difficult."

Tomorrow will continue at 10 am with more victim impact statements.
