A pair of COVID-19 diagnoses at Englefeld School means that students in Grades 7 to 12 will be moving to remote learning for this week. Grades K to 6 will remain in the school for in-school learning. The Horizon School Division was informed of the cases on April 18.

The Division is working with local health authorities in regard to contact tracing and all parents of students at the school have been notified of the decision.

The announced cases come in the wake of outbreaks having been declared in the communities of Annaheim and LeRoy. In all those cases, the outbreaks were declared at work locations and measures are underway in the communities for appropriate isolation measures.

Students at HCI are back at school this week after several cases linked to variants of concern sent students home for remote learning last week.
