Sunday will mark the five-week point until Christmas arrives for another year.

With that, the lengthy list of gifts to purchase is likely starting to be checked off by shoppers.

The Watson Community Club may be able to help with that list on Sunday, as they hold their annual arts and craft sale.

"We host it every year to raise money for the community. It's a great craft sale and I have a lot of people coming again this year. It's one of our big fundraisers," said organizer Leslie McLeod.

McLeod added that there will be plenty to seek out from their many vendors.

"This year, I have handmade crafts, hats, scarves, mitts, to baking, Tupperware, jewelry. I have a lady coming with moccasins."

"We have pretty much everything coming."

The show will be held at the Watson Civic Center from 12:30 to 4:00pm. In addition to browsing, a raffle will give away a Keurig machine and a Christmas basket.

There will also be a bake table as well as lunch and refreshments.

McLeod says that the annual sale is one of their biggest fundraisers for the community club. Funds raised directly support local organizations.

"We put it into the account and at the end of the year, we split it up between the different clubs in the community and surrounding area that need the funds."

On December 4, during Santa Claus Days, a 70-plus supper will be held in the community as well.
