Polls are open for 11 hours on election day.

Following a 27-day campaign, it's time to head to the polls, as Saskatchewan votes in the 28th general election.

Polls will be open across the province from 9:00am to 8:00pm.

In Humboldt, voting is taking place at both the Royal Canadian Legion and Humboldt Uniplex. Ensure you double check your voter card for which building to cast your ballot.

Other voting locations in the Humboldt-Watrous riding are in Watrous, Vonda, Prud'homme, Bruno, Muenster, Viscount, Colonsay, Allan, Young, Lanigan and Drake.

If you are unsure where to vote, your address can be entered, and polling station found through the Elections Saskatchewan website.

Remember to bring your voter card as well as identification to confirm your voting eligibility. A full list of acceptable ID can be found here.

Election day got an early boost in the form of advance voting with over 110,000 people electing to take advantage of the early polls over a five day period.

It was an expansion of 44,000 voters from the 2011 advance polls, or a 66 per cent increase.
