What has been an already hot and sunny July will continue as the end of the month nears.

Tuesday is the curve ball for the week, with a chance of seeing light showers amid a high of 24 degrees.

Come the rest of the week, however, hot air will push back into the area, according to Environment Canada's John Paul Cragg.

"High pressure will help bring southerly winds back into the province. Warm air from the United States will flow back into the province," he said. "Clear skies that will allow the sun to do its job and heat the ground. That all combined means we are looking at an increase in temperatures."

"It looks like it is going to be a really hot end to July," added Cragg.

He notes that the warm, sunny conditions could continue for a period of up to two weeks.
