The family of a Saskatchewan woman who died in China is trying to raise $100,000 through Go Fund Me in order to pay her medical bills and bring her body home.

Alicia Garlock, 38, of Melfort was working in China as a teacher when she died in hospital last week.

Her body is in a morgue and Chinese officials won't release it until the hospital bill is paid, her brother Travis Garlock says.

She went into the hospital with a suspected case of pneumonia last month, then contracted the flu, he says.
