Whether you hail from the city or the country, one thing is clear: ladies love fashion!

The ladies (and one stylish gentleman!) of Humboldt and area got a chance to indulge in their love of all things fashion Thursday night as the Humboldt and District Gallery was host to the fifth annual Gallery of Fall Fashion Show.

The sold-out show was all abuzz with excitement as many gathered to watch the latest fall looks from Brickhouse Clothing parade down the catwalk.

The event has been taking place since the inception of the Humboldt & District Gallery in 2014. "The museum foundation is raising money to design new exhibits over at the museum",explains Jennifer Fitzpatrick, director of cultural services for the city of Humboldt.

Fitzpatrick says many efforts made by different sponsocontinueine to make the fall fashion show a success every year. She says, "Between Lana (Muggli) at Brickhouse Clothing donating her proceeds, (and) sponsors (such as) Humboldt Co-op and Johnny's Bistro sponsoring the food and hot chocolate and coffee..." Fitzpatrick adds, "It's a wonderful event; it's a fun event, and we raise money for a good cause."

The latest looks and most popular styles this season, according to the owner of Brickhouse Clothing in Humboldt, Lana Muggli, include, "lots of plaid, ripped denim, sweaters and boots". She also notes that she has started carrying winter coats, something Muggli says is new to the store this season.

Besides the feast for the eyes that was the showcase of beautiful clothing at the night’s event, the evenings festivities were all in support of the Humboldt & District Museum and Gallery Foundation. It was, and always has been made possible through a great partnership between the Gallery and Brickhouse Clothing since day 1. Muggli, explains where her original concept behind the pairing of the gallery and her boutique stemmed from, "I want people to come here and appreciate the gallery. There are people who come to the fashion show that have never been in the gallery before, so that's awesome because they get to see what the town built from almost nothing, in a way."

Fitzpatrick supports Muggli, and gives credit to her for coming up with the idea to pair the gallery with a fashion show from Brickhouse Clothing, "It was her (Muggli's) idea to do a fashion show when the gallery was buillt". She goes on to add Muggli said "Hey, wouldn't that be a great space for the fashion show!'', and credits Muggli with the idea to match the two.

Working together as a team, Brickhouse Clothing and the Gallery were able to once again, bring an exciting evening of style and fundraising to fashion lovers from many residents in Humboldt and area.
