It's been over two months since the Farm Credit Canada Humboldt office staff handed out 250 bags at the 2015 Summer Sizzler Parade hoping residents will fill them in support of their "Drive Away Hunger' campaign.

On Wednesday from 11:30-1:30 people can bring their bags filled with non-perishable food items to the Humboldt Co-op Food Store where they are holding a fundraising bar-b-cue.

If you have a bag and aren't ready to drop it off yet, that's not a concern, the campaign runs until October. Last year they raised over 6,500 pounds of food for the Humboldt Food Bank.

While at the Co-op you can grab lunch for $5 with all the proceeds also staying right here in the region.

In the next couple months FCC will also be partnering with a local school and the Humboldt Broncos.

Some of their most needed items are pasta, rice, canned meats, fish, peanut butter, soups, canned and powdered milk, canned fruit and  vegetables as well as infant formula and baby food.
