Construction in Humboldt has been rampant throughout the middle of August, from road work to sidewalk repair.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the block on 5th Avenue infront of the post office has re-opened.

Since July 26, crews had been digging up and repairing the road, while also prepping it for future paving.

The City of Humboldt says that paving is expected to begin at the end of August.

Until that begins, the road will remain open.

Elsewhere in the city, construction on Bruce Street continues to progress.

Repairs are being made from damage due to frost boils, and the city anticipates the road to be back open by the weekend.
