Monday is the official start of the flu season according to Saskatchewan's Chief Medical Health Officer.

Both the Saskatoon Health Region and Kelsey Trail Health Region will begin their flu shots Monday.

The SHR will be in Strasbourg to administer the vaccine, that clinic will go from 2pm-6pm at the Memorial Hall.

Humboldt residents can get the shot Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:30-6pm at St. Augustine Hall.

The KTHR will begin their clinic schedule in Porcupine Plain and Nipawin Monday.

Flu shots are free for all residents.

The season is expected to last until March 31st.
