For the second time in as many months, Humboldt's Andrew Ford and Zootopia have landed a major honour.

After earning a Golden Globe for Best Animated Film in January, the 3D comedy-action film doubled down by taking home an Academy Award in the same category Sunday night.

It was the third time in four years that a Disney produced film picked up an Oscar for animation, following Big Hero 6 in 2014 and Frozen in 2013.

Ford, who started working at Disney Studios as an animator in 2015, is into his next big project with the movie maker.

Wreck-It Ralph 2 is slated to hit theatres in March 2018.

Following Zootopia's Golden Globes win, we spoke with Ford about his work on the movie. You can read that by clicking here.
