For the eighth year in a row, The Humboldt District Hospital Foundation just finished their annual Friends Fore Charity Golf Scramble on Thursday.

Lorrie Bunko the executive director of the HDHF tells us about the Friends Fore Charity Golf Scramble.

"It is our one signature event that we do in a year where we partner with another organization healthcare acute or long-term care."

Bunko tells us why it is important to partner with other organizations. 

"We feel that it is important to partner with like organizations like charities because we all need one another."

This year's event was well attended with over eighty golfers.

This year the HDHF paired with the Jim Patterson Children's Hospital.

"Our kids and this whole area at one time or another may need that hospital, and we want to show the children's hospital we do support them that we appreciate that it is getting build and our kids are going to have a place to go if they need more advanced care."

Bunko also noted that the next event for the HDHF is the have a heart walk.
