Alberta Premier Rachel Notley continues to defend herself and that province's New Democrats daily and some of the catcalls are coming from other political personalities.

During a weekend anti-carbon tax rally in Alberta the crowd of attendees turned to chanting "lock her up" which is something former Saskatoon-Humboldt Member of Parliament Brad Trost agrees with according to his twitter feed.

The current Saskatoon-University MP is running for the leadership role of the federal Conservatives so he used his account to show support of the chanting.

Trost said that the comment wasn't literal, he defended that both Notley and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau need to stand up for their constituents.

He also used his social media to voice his concerns regarding the current leadership of Rona Ambrose.

A new leader of the Conservatives will be chosen at their convention in Vancouver in May.
