UPDATE: The advisory has ended as of Sunday morning.

Environment Canada has issued a freezing drizzle advisory for the Humboldt area.

With already light snowfall starting Friday and continuing overnight throughout Saturday afternoon, freezing drizzle is now at risk, which could make area roads a hazard.

A warm front pushing northward across southern Saskatchewan is creating freezing drizzle as it moves across the area.

They add that a period of light to moderate freezing drizzle can be expected as the front crosses the area resulting in localized slippery conditions.

The advisory is expected to taper off Sunday morning.
