After a taste of summer at the beginning of the month, a cool down is on it's way for Humboldt and the sorrounding area on Wednesday night.

"We're looking at Wednesday night through to Thursday morning temperatures getting close to the freezing mark with some models suggesting maybe minus1 or minus 2 for an overnight low," Environment Canada Meteorologist John Paul Cragg explained.

Although the cold front is greeting us mid week, the weekend will be a different story.

Sunshine is expected throughout the long weekend with high's of 15 and 18 for Friday and Saturday respectively said Cragg, "Things are looking pretty dry so it doesn't look like there's any real risk of a big precipitation event until we get to Monday of the long weekend, so Saturday and Sunday looking fairly clear and fairly dry looking at the model data."

A mix of sun and cloud is in the forecast for Sunday and Monday with high's of 21 and 19.

No other overnight freezing temperatures are expected throughout the rest of the week.
