A Go Fund Me page has raised now raised more than $1,000,000  for the Humboldt Broncos players and families affected by Friday's bus crash.

"As you know The Humboldt Broncos Junior A team was involved in a serious accident. Please help us raise money for the players and families affected. Money raised will go directly to families to help with any expenses incurred," organizer Sylvie Kellington said.

RCMP had confirmed deaths and injuries after the Broncos bus collided with a semi-trailer. Police had not released further details about the victims.

Kellington isn't the only one organizing support.

Local band Broken Roads is turning its Friday show at the Bella Vista into a benefit concert for the players' families.

"We were just going to play there for a normal show, and then tonight happened and we decided that ... we need to do what we can do to help," Darrell Billesberger said.

Canalta Hotels on its Facebook page said it hotels were available free of charge Friday night for families affected by the crash who need to stay close to hospitals.
