The Government of Saskatchewan has announced what individuals or companies will become private owners of province wide liquor stores.

The 50 request for proposals include 39 stores being converted to private entities as part of an overhaul to Saskatchewan's Liquor Act.

Six area stores will see new ownership prior to 2017 coming to a close as the Government says private stores outside of larger markets must be opened within 12 months from the announcement.

Kelvington's store will be operated by Cindy and Brian Sutherland, they own Bryson Drilling LTD. Lanigan's will be operated by current Liquor Store employee Laura Bryksa.

The Raymore store will be operated by the Last Mountain Co-operative, the Midway Co-op is going to manage the Watson store.

Adam and Donna Pich are going to own the Wynyard store, Wakaw's has been purchased by Country Crossroads Services proprietor Ray Shevernoha.
