Incumbent SaskParty candidate for Humboldt-Watrous Donna Harpauer is hoping the Saskatchewan voters want four more years of hers and Brad Wall's services.

Harpauer has been an MLA since 1999 after working in a hospital laboratory in Saskatoon. She is one of the founding members of the SaskParty that took power in 2007 and since then has held numerous portfolios in a number of different departments. She was Minister of Social Services from November 2007 to June 2010. She then served as the Minister of Education from July 2010 to May 2012. She was appointed Minister of Crown Investments in May of 2012. She then returned to Social Services in June, 2014 when she was appointed Minister of Social Services and Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Housing Corporation and Status of Women.

During the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce's candidates forum held on March 22nd for the Humboldt-Watrous riding, Harpauer continued to push their record since coming to power and their platform they will use to keep "Saskatchewan strong."

The candidates were all asked a mixture of questions, some pre-empted, others from the floor. We captured Harpauer's responses.

1) What are your views on infrastructure spending?

2) What is the main issue for this riding?

3)What would you do to help young farmers have access to farm land?

4) What portfolio would you choose if you were elected and given a ministry to lead? (She was asked to discuss her current position)

5) What are your thoughts on the privatization of the crown corporations?

6) What do you feel about LEAN?

7) What are your thoughts on passing lanes on Saskatchewan's highways?

8) Where do you feel the money will come from to continue to spend and move Saskatchewan forward?

9) What would you do for the business community if elected?

10) Can you speak about the budget for the province?

11) Can you touch on what you would do to increase purchasing from local businesses?

Joining Harpauer on the SaskParty campaign trail around the east-central region is Kevin Phillips in the Melfort constituency; looking to replace the retiring June Draude in the Kelvington-Wadena riding is Hugh Nerlien; Incumbent Delbert Kirsch is taking another run at the Batoche constituency; Greg Brkich is also vying for re-election in the Arm River riding; the new riding of Saskatoon-Stonebridge-Dakota is being sought by Bronwyn Eyre.
