Harvest is into the final stages in the Humboldt area, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture's Weekly Crop report.

Eighty-nine percent of the 2017 crop is now in the bin, which is an increase from 77% the week prior.

Some producers have been taking the crop off tough and placing it into aeration bins, according to the report. Heavier rain also halted some production over the past seven days.

With the rainfall, topsoil moisture has seen some replenishment. Conditions are rated as 13% surplus, 48% adequate, 34% short and six percent very short.

Overall yields are average to above-average, depending on moisture received throughout the summer.

Provincially, 89% of the crop is also in the bin, which is ahead of the five-year average of 82% for this time of year.

Harvest is furthest advanced in the southwest at 98%. In the southeast and west-central regions, it is 92% complete, while the northeast is at 78% and the northwest comes in at 69% complete.
