Harvest progress continues at a very fast pace, mainly due to the warm dry weather.

Provincially, 60% of the crop is combined, which is quite advanced for this time of year with the five-year average being at 40%. Last week the provincial crop was 45% combined.

The southwest region of the province has the most advanced harvest, with 86% of the crop in the bin. 57% percent has been picked up in the Humboldt area.

Around the rest of the province, the northeast region is 37% picked up, the northwest is at 37% the west central region is 66% combined, and the southeast has 76% in the bin.

Topsoil moistures continue to worsen across Saskatchewan, due to the province receiving little to no rainfall last week.

With conditions remaining dry, producers have specified that winter cereals might not be seeded this fall. Combine and grass fires also continue due to the lack of moisture.
