Harvest has all but wrapped up in east-central Saskatchewan.

The latest crop report from Saskatchewan Agriculture notes that 99% of the crop has been combined, with only a few fields of soybeans, oats, and canola remaining.

Progress is ahead of the five-year average, which typically sees around 92% combined for this time of year.

Topsoil moisture conditions went down slightly over the week, with 51% rated as adequate, 40% short, and nine percent very short.

Across the province, 98% of the harvest is complete, with flax, canola, mustard, soybeans, chickpeas, spring wheat, durum, oats, barley, and canaryseed fields remaining.

Winter wheat, fall rye, lentils, and peas are all in, according to the report.

The southeast and southwest regions join the east-central at 99% complete, with the west-central at 98%, northeast at 96%, and the northwest comes in at 95% wrapped up.

It is anticipated that with dry conditions, only a week to 10 days remains in the field for farmers.
