Nobody ever wins an award alone, Colleen Haussecker says.

“It takes a lot of great people to work with an entrepreneur and make a business great,” said Haussecker, owner of Canadian Organic Spice & Herb Co in Watson.

The business won the Entrepreneur and Growth and Expansion categories at the 19th Mark of Excellence Awards on Wednesday.

“It’s a real honour to me to be recognized for the work I’m doing, especially when you're recognized among other great candidates as well.”

Watson is a good location because her family is there, and the town is at the junction of two highways and the railway, making it a good spot for manufacturing, she said.

She credited the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce for putting on a great event and thanked her customers for their support.
