Harvest is expected to begin for some farmers in the Humboldt area in the next two weeks, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture's Weekly Crop Report.

The report shows that crops are advancing quickly in the region, with average yields expected for the season.

Topsoil moisture conditions are improving, with one percent surplus, 76% adequate, 22% short and one percent very short.

Hayland and pasture topsoil rates as 74% adequate, 25% short and one percent very short.

The report also incdicates that haying is wrapping up in the region.

Meanwhile, harvest is underway for some producers in the south, with less than one percent of the provincial crop being combined.

An additional one percent is ready to straight cut.
