Members of HCI's drama club will receive new equipment thanks to a financial donation made by 107-5 Bolt FM.

$1900 was donated to the Drama club by Bolt FM and Golden West.

Drama teacher at Humboldt Collegiate Glenda Lees says she is thankful for all the help the drama club has received.

"When you look around here at everything that we've got. Even Bolt paid for extra curtains because we didn't have enough curtains to meet our needs here, that's just one thing. Even the fact that we can move everything off this stage. A lot of the pieces of equipment that we have here, are put on Dolly's because of money that Bolt has given us."

Lees says growth in the program is evident.

"Our program has really grown here. The production we are doing this weekend is absolutely huge, and it's costly to do something like this, and we don't have a lot of space to work with so we really need good equipment and things like that."

Lees says importing items makes the cost of upgrading and purchasing equipment difficult.

"Most of the things we have to go elsewhere to get them. But even of our local stores, we try to shop locally where ever possible, but some things are very specialized."

This is the 5th year Bolt FM has donated to the Drama Club. Around $7000 has been donated to the Drama club in that time.
