Telemiracle 41 featured a number of people from different organizations, groups and schools at their annual telethon this past weekend. Humboldt Collegiate Institute was represented by members of their SRC.

The SRC raised $1,795 and present that cheque live on Sunday morning. The money was raised through different fundraisers and raffles throughout the month of February

Mitch Rohrke, one of the presenters explains that the cheque presentation wasn't the only highlight.

"We got to do the total boards from 2:00am- 5:00am."

Also representing HCI was Nathan Tremblay. Nathan said that although being there from 9:00pm 5:00am was a little tiring it was a great experience.

"It was definitely a one of a kind trip. I've grown up watching Telemiracle and going to see the actual thing was kind of surreal."

Tremblay also added that he hopes people continue to support the work that Telemiracle does.

"I would definitely recommend to anyone that is interested in volunteering to fill out a volunteer form and go for yourself."

On behalf of the SRC, Rohrke and Tremblay would like to thank Boston Pizza, Tim Horton's and the teachers and students of HCI for raising the money.
