The Humboldt District Hospital Foundation is beginning to ready themselves for the 5th Annual Spring Health and Home Show.

Registration for the show, which takes place in May, is now open for vendors.

Executive Director of the HDHF, Lorrie Bunko says that although the show has gone over well.

"It's been very successful over the last five years. We were questioning, because last year we had some really great weather and it stunted traffic to the show," she noted. "We are going to try it again and we have done some tweaking to the event."

The two changes for next year's show will be reduced cost for vendors who wish to showcase their items at the show. There will also be no charge at the door to get in for the show.

Bunko says the change for vendors is all about keeping things cost effective.

"We want to make it affordable for them to be able to market their products and services," she explained. "For the free admission, although we only charged two dollars for people to get in, we want to have free admission, everyone welcome and enjoy the show."

Proceeds from the purchase of booths by vendors will continue to support equipment purchases through the foundation.

As they plan for events in the first half of 2017, which will also include the annual Radiothon on Bolt FM, 2016 is winding down with an annual tradition.

"Christmas angels are out and we have actually seen quite a few come back already, so we are in full swing with that," added Bunko. "Planning for 2017, it has been a busy fall and we forecast a busy winter at the foundation."

The angels are received through the mail in a package of two, one to keep and hang, and then you have the option of sending the other angel back to the foundation with a donation.
