No lack of support for the community of Humboldt, but that doesn't make it easier to say goodbye.

Pastor Sean Brandow spoke at the Elgar Peterson Arena during the vigil Sunday, April 8th.

With week one in the books, the grieving process isn't over yet, but incremental steps make a difference.

Pastor Sean Brandow said the services held over the past few days are what help people heal, "these funerals are very, very important for the families to just look at their young men, their young lady and just remember them and that's really important."

As we turn the page onto a new day, the beginning of a new week brings hope for those still experiencing tribulation.

"You're not getting over hurdles, you're just taking one more step, you'll be fine one day and the next day you won't be able to stand up in the shower... that's just going to be the reality of grief from one day to the next."

Brandow is the Chaplain for the team and spoke about the necessity of services and how it's only the beginning for those venturing down the path of healing.

"Funerals are a good thing it allows for some measure of closure, I guess. And a starting point. you know whats going to come next and that bit of conclusion is a good thing."
