Sometimes little things make a big difference.  Sometimes the spark of a small idea leads to big change.

Mike and Shannon Yager of Spotlight Sports and Corporate Wear in Humboldt decided on Saturday morning they wanted to do something to help the Humboldt Broncos after Friday nights tragic accident.  Their idea for a Humbolt Strong Bronco T-shirt with the team logo has become huge.

Orders are coming in by the hundreds and the thousands.  We asked Mike if they expected the massive response they have gotten.

"Not at all.  When we first talked about it we thought we might do 75, maybe 100 shirts, little did we know what was going to happen"

Online orders alone early Monday morning stood at over 1200.  Many more shirts are ordered on the phone and via email.  The yagers worked till 3 am Monday morning printing shirts.

The shirts cost $25 each with $20 going to the family of the Bronco players.  With the sheer mass quantity of the order, the $5 per shirt will likely not cover all the businesses cost.  No matter.  The effort continues.

When we stopped by the store to talk with the Yagers, the orders were coming in at a lightning pace (over 1200 online alone) and they are shipping the shirts all over.

"We'll be sending T-shirts to the United Kingdom, Ireland, New York, Chicago, California, and the list is just growing.

Keeping up with the demand has been almost impossible.

"We ran out of T-shirts, many many sizes, hours ago.  We'll be placing an order with our suppliers to get more today and we'll be ordering daily if we need to.  We'll be reaching out to suppliers for ink, so we will process every order, and when the dust settles we'll present that cheque".

Shannon Yager told us that the response to the campaign has meant a lot to her.

"It's just so overwhelming, it restores my faith in humanity, the amount of support that we've had".
