Humboldt and area could be in for a scorcher over the next few days.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement noting that the next four to five days, starting on Tuesday, could have daytime highs of 30 and overnight lows of mid-teens.

There is a possibility that heat warnings could be issued closer to the dates depending on the temperatures.

In the event of a heat warning ensure you don't spend long periods of time outdoors in the direct sunlight or peak hours of sun, wear proper clothing and sunscreen, and drink plenty of water.
