Update: Environment Canada has ended its special weather statement for the Humboldt-Wynyard-Wadena-Lanigan-Foam Lake area.

We can expect two to four centimetres of snow today, with a similar amount tonight.

Original story:

The Old Farmers Almanac predicted a cool, wet spring in 2018.  They were certainly spot on with that prediction.  Here is the forecast for the next 36 hours.

As we move into Tuesday another winter like weather system is making it's way through the province dumping snow, the potential of freezing rain, and keeping temperatures far below normal for this time of year.  Our average high on this date would be just over 11 degrees.  Yesterday our daytime high topped out at just under 4 degrees.

The snow will make things slippery in town and on the highways.  Conditions to the west of Humboldt are already less than perfect this morning and that will likely move into our area later in the day.  Before you travel check the latest road conditions by clicking here.

To the south of us, Swift Current woke up to a blanket of snow this morning.
