SaskTel high speed internet service will be enjoyed by new rural communities by mid 2016, even faster high speed internet is coming for 19 additional communities.

High speed basic internet which offers download speeds of up to 5 megabits per second will be offered in Craven, Good Spirit Lake, and Madge Lake. High speed basic and advanced internet service with speeds up to 10 mega bits per second will be coming to Riverhust, Frobihser, St. Benedict, Minton, and Alvena.

Davidson, Waldheim, Ogema, Frontier, Loon Lake, Debden, Codette, Rhein, Weldon, Rapid View, Shaunavon, Hudson Bay, Grenfell, Fort Qu'Appelle, Regina Beach, Buena Vista, Kenosee Lake, Macklin, and Unity will gain access to even faster high speed internet service by the end of 2016. High Speed advanced offers download speeds of up to 10 mege bits per second.

"Rural Saskatchewan continues to experience unprecedented growth," said Jim Reiter, minister Responsible for SaskTel. "By providing these communities with access to improved high speed internet, our government is opening up doors for entrepreneurs that want to live outside of our major centers but still need access to how business is done in the world today."

This means enhanced ability for both private costumers using the internet for home entertainment and business costumers doing work on a provincial, national, and international scale.
